I haven't visited the list for a couple of weeks due to work, grandkids,
lots of snow, fixing computers, etc. I logged in and found only 3
messages! What a shock. I was too late to respond to Tom's invite to the
new list so found it again at SMs. We've been roasting and drinking a lot
of coffee. It's a great gift for birthdays! I took some to work for the
trainings I've been doing and leaving them a bag at the end of the week as a
fond reminder. They really love it. Then there's our regular customers and
lots for family. And the more we roast, the sooner I can buy more. I'm down
to 160 lbs and need to pare down in time for Brazil season. I'm drinking
some India Mallali Tree Dried Natural today....very yummy and fantastic
aroma. My husband does all the roasting and I thought it looked light, but
it was perfect.
Take care,
Ann

Lots of new folks, someone complained about OT threads, folks asking what
the best roaster was, folks asking about where to get good espresso while on
the road, Lynne is trying to not put her dog into seizures and is having a
hard time with it, but keeps pressing! Mike was having an issue with his
new roaster, someone is giving away a P1 as a tradition (Nice offer btw), we
have a few new roasters, one who wants to cool beans with liquid N2 (neat)
some are having the usual "what roast level is this"...
Aaron didn't offend anyone - yet.
Pretty much the usual for this list, at least what I have seen well into my
3rd year on it.
Oh, and the resident list Marine is back from Iraq...

haha - Sean has a great condensed version here - except...
you forgot.... label OT as OT, don't post OT subjects, post OT subjects
as long as you label them... etc.
same as usual.

Lynne is write! Apparntley, people aren't "composing to" in a way that some
god forsaken old newsgroup used to do (everyone died there from a lack of
coffee).
The Netikit Schmetikit stuff is tweaking sum.
And if that's not all, LUNCH MUST BE FREE - yeah the GMail thread
continues. Of course with all the great benefits, its no wonder why!
SOmeone talked about coffee a whyle bakk, but I forget what the thread was
diskussin.
We mist you!

I am guilty of 'reply to old thread to get To: email address and just
change subject which wrecks every other threaded newsreader on the
planet except Google which is all I use so never think about it", and
that came up. I am sorry, I just can never remember the address with
all them dots and ats and such.

Found out today we move Summer of 2009 - which should preclude me another
trip to Iraq...will have to be the RBE (remain behind element) which has a
special pain associated with it as well...BUT pain is much easier to take
with my wife and kids each evening!

Oh... and we set a new record. Tom noted over 50 posts on a thread one
morning and was surprised to find it was all ON TOPIC and valuable info.
Amazing. You can check out that record breaking post under the subject
title of "Home roaster suggestions please?". Think it has 63 total posts.
Not bad for a bunch of bunny chasers.
