Topic: 2 Gene Cafe questions (3 msgs / 89 lines)
1) From: Ken Knott
First, there was a little plastic baggy stapled to the manual with 2 little=
rubber pieces. What are they for?
Second, is there any suggested warm up roast or something before using it t=
he first time? The manual doesn't say anything so I guess not?
Thanks everyone! First roast will come very soon!
Ken

Inside the roasting chamber there is a flap that (well flaps) back and =
forth to keep the chaff going through the exit vent. There is a little =
rubber bumper on this flap for when it bumps against the glass. They =
include a couple of spares.
I haven't done any warm up although a lot of people recommend it. It =
seems to get up to temperature pretty quickly. List member Eddie Dove =
has written a bunch about different temperature profiles and timings, =
he'd be a better authority on that.
Have fun!!!

Hi, Ken.
Don't loose that little baggie!!! Those are replacement rubber bumpers =
for the chaff sweeper. They'll dry out eventually and you can replace them.
Toss those beans in and go for it!
