Topic: Roasted inside and smoke alarm did not go off (21 lines)

Hi,
     I needed to roast coffee today, it was raining and the weather  
radar suggested it was not going to stop.   I have been roasting with  
this TO/BM set-up for a while and I noticed that it really did not  
smoke much.  I used the cooling base for both roasting and cooling,  
the next picture and roasted about a pound and a half just about six  
feet away from the smoke detecter.  Roasted and cooled with a vacuum  
cleaner by placing the hose in the pipe that comes out the lower left,  
without setting the smoke detector off.  The vacuum took care of the  
chaff as well.  This may be the first home roasting set-up to roast  
inside without venting that I know of.  To look at the set up go to:
