Tradition reminder. 1 week from today.
With an upcoming company relocation to Denver coming up this is a perfect
time to offer a long over due (on my part) tradition to the list.
I would like to offer up a West Bend Poppery (P1) for a list tradition.
This P1 was a spare and I never used it nor modified it in any way, the only
problem is I am missing the top/butter dish thing. The roasting chamber can
be extended with your standard vegetable/soup/chili/whatever can easily. A
Fresh Roast chaff collector can then be used on top of the can for a
somewhat chaff free roasting experience.
This model is a breeze to take apart with some basic tools, easily split
wired to use the on/off switch for heat only, and easy modification of the
temp cut off thermostat. The Poppery weighs 4 pounds 2 ounces, the later
Poppery II model weighs 1 pound 10 ounces. The Poppery uses a solid cast
aluminum roasting chamber and is built like a tank.
I will also include a new Dietz brand heavy gauge glass chimney designed for
oil lamps that if your handy enough can also be used as a roast chamber
extension.
If interested send an email to me at radams with "poppery
tradition" in the subject line.
All entries to be submitted before noon CST on March 3rd at which time I
will draw the lucky recepients name.
Good Luck and thanks to all listers for a wonderful informative list!!
Respectfully,
Rich Adams
