Topic: Espresso Monkeys flying higher (3 msgs / 66 lines)
1) From: Coffee
I just pulled another shot of the Espresso Monkey that I roasted last
Saturday and it suddenly gained a whole bunch of body and the flavors
have become more distinct since yesterday. It's interesting how the
different flavors hit you one at a time as you drink it.

That's with only 4 days rest. Give it another 3 to 7 days and see what you
think...

Oh yeah. It's good stuff, but unfortunately never seems to stick
around long enough to rest that much.
Just received the lb of Ohana today. Can't wait to try it....but I
will. Okay, maybe I'll crack it open Friday, since I'll be out of
Espresso Monkey by then, and pull a shot or two....then next week,
it'll have hit the 7 days point, and I'll see how it goes from there!
Then I'll have to roast some more espresso monkey while I drink the
Ohana, which will give the EM some time to rest.
BTW, someone here recently mentioned that it felt like there was high
caffeine content in the EM? My coworker said the same thing - he
could really feel the caffeine.
Me? I just talk faster and get more focused with 3 or so shots in me :)
My espresso machine is in my office, so I don't drink espresso on the
weekends - it's strictly a work thing. My birthday is coming up in a
few months - maybe Miss Silvia will pay me a visit. At that point, my
Espresso Novo 2000 may come home, but then I'll need another grinder!
I have the RR45 at work - kinda big, noisy, and messy for the home
kitchen. May have to get a Zass for home.
