Topic: For a friend... (3 msgs / 54 lines)
1) From: Vicki Smith
I have a work friend who just returned from Hawaii, where she fell in
love with Kona coffees. I have no idea what she drank there, nor does she.
In any case, She has a birthday coming up, and I would like to roast for
her. I have no Kona in my stash, but I do have some Panama Boquete -
Lerida Estate Peaberry. I'm thinking she might just find it to her
liking. Thoughts?
Tom recommends a City+ for this bean, but says it does well at other
roast levels as well. Are there any other recommendations for this bean?
I have had a 5 pounder of this since November, but it somehow got
overlooked this winter, so it will be my first go 'round for this one.

Some have found Panama coffees to be very similar to Konas (grin). There's
a story behind that.

Now, you can't say that and then not tell the story. Humph.
I just figured it was more likely to please her than the Yirg, Moka
Kadir, and Sidamo which is all I have until my latest order comes.
