I wrote a review of Ohana coffee sent it twice it has yet to show up. In
addition, I received an e-mail response to another e-mail and it went
directly to my sent file and never appeared in my outbox

Barry,
as far as i can tell the list isn't sending you your own emails. well, i
think i read that gmail recognizes that it's the same thing as you sent, so
it doesn't put it into your inbox... anyway, the list got your email, b/c i
read it last nite. it just didn't generate any replies. i blame that on a
slow list day yesterday as well as lots of ohana reviews. don't know what
to say about the reply that went to your sent mail...weird.

With Gmail I get a whole lot more than I paid. The same goes for my Linux
(Ubuntu) operating system, Open Office, Firefox, Xine, QCaD, GIMP, xpdf,
sftp, Amarok, and the rest. I haven't used anything from Redmond since
Windows came out without a descent manual. What's not to like?

HI Barry,
I received your "Ohana review" post just fine... When GMail sends a post,
it goes into "Sent". If you get a reply, the reply goes into the InBox,
prepended by your post. GMail isn't going to clutter your inbox until you
get something IN in response to something you sent.
And, even better, GMail is free (Thanks Rich for the great reminder!)
Here, here,
Brett
P.S. nice review too - I'm gunna have to get me some Ohana.... still
working out Oscar temps first...

Barry,
You could possible do this with a filter and/or a forwarding rule. I don't
see anything in the options that control that behavior. I've noticed the
same thing, but have chosen to live with it.

Last week, I initiated a thread (I thought) and never saw it appear on this
site. I never saw any replies to it, either. I thought maybe it had
something to do with the SM Homeroast List. But maybe it is all about the
G-Mail thing. The reason I thought it might be SM related is that when I
typed in the "To" box, I had 4 or 5 different Sweet Maria's "lists" show
up. I figured that maybe I clicked on the wrong one and it sent it somewhere
else in the Sweet Marias sites and not to the homeroast list?

Sorry, but to continue with my above post. I think that is exactly what
happened. I just now went back into my gmail "sent" list and looked. The
post I sent last week went to "Sweet Marias", whereas the above post went to
the "homeroast" list.
I will have to find out which is the correct "pop-up" address next time I
initiate a post (not reply to one).

I'd suggest you go into the GMail contacts area, and groom the list to only
one Sweet Marias' list address.
GMail automatically adds to your list as you address, so
typo-challenged-addressees get retained....
