Topic: Anyone using the Le'lit PL53 grinder (3 msgs / 58 lines)
1) From: Seth Grandeau
I've tweaked my Baratza Maestro so I can get an espresso grind, but I think
I'm going to need something better, longer term. The LeLit seems to have
good reviews and a great price. Since I'm keeping the Maestro for drip/vac
grind levels, I thought I'd go with a more adjustable grinder for espresso
(rather than a Rocky) and I didn't want to end up in the Mazzer price range.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Early "first look" reviews seem very favorable. Looks to be a good budget
minded and/or space constrained espresso only entry level grinder. (While
can grind for other purposes adjustment would be a PIA) Actually considering
one for vacation/travel espresso duties.
That said I would not put it in the build quality league as Rocky, Mazzer,
Macap etc.

I use one (my other grinder is a Rocky Doser, and a close friend has a Rocky
Doserless). I haven't used it for espresso much, because my machine has
been down. I mainly use it for pourovers and vac pots (and changing the
grind setting isn't as hard as people make it out to be). I enjoy it a lot.
It is very clean (compared to the Rockies) and produces a nice and fluffy
grind.
If you'd like more information, feel free to contact me off list (since the
grinder is only available at one online retailer which is not SM, I don't
want to advertise for it on the SM list)
