Topic: Anyone else use VacuVin for de-gassing or storage? (3 msgs / 58 lines)
1) From: John Haley
   - I've been noting the de-gassing methods used here and I haven't yet
seen anyone (else) using VacuVin containers. As the gas pressure/release
builds up over the first couple of days it breaks the vacuum at which time I
simply re-pump the air out. It's such a simple method I now wonder if there
is some reason not to be using it for de-gassing and storage.

I am simple... I put the beans in a Mason jar, and latch it closed.
The next day I open the gas, let the pressure out. Oxygen is lighter
than the outgasses - so the Oxygen runs out the top....
To retrieve beans, I spoon them out, without disturbing the gasses
they sit in (at least to some degree)...
Like all of you, I like my coffee - so I declare success - even in
light of other scientist who "prove" me wrong....
Make sure you follow that rule too - it's YOUR opinion that wins....
Cheers,
Brett
