Topic: Another Espresso machine! UNIC DIVA( ROTARY PUMP) (9 msgs / 177 lines)
1) From: Dennis Parham
Well I just won another Commercial Espresso machine on epay... a UNIC
DIVA , 6.3liter boiler HX single group! anyone know much about them?
I read on CoffeeGeek that they were great machines... Mostly seen in
the French Riviera and Europe... ( made in France) it is about the
same size of my FAEMA Compact C85... but 2 times the boiler size!
ROTARY PUMP ALSO! I paid 500 bucks + 150 freight shipping... seems
pretty darned good.. and it supposedly is serviced right before this
ebay add... so.. any UIC DIVA owners here? this sure will look nice
than my AWSOME FAEMA! as it is all stainless body.. cannot wait to
compare shots! well once my new heating element arrives for FAEMA...
shotless for now.. overshot soon to BE!!

Hi Dennis,
I worked my UNIC Diva for a year before it stopped. The circuit board
went out... I am part way done with swapping out the components into
a UNIC Phoenix (Vibe, different control board), but the grouphead /
internals wouldn't let theater through - so pressure mounted until the
presssure relief washed down my kitchen.
It's in the garage, and I have an Oscar now. I will come back to it
in the summer. I do have manuals and can scan and email them to
you...

that would be great dont think mine comes with any manual! ! if you
have the time! This said they just had it serviced right before
auction... so hopefully they are telling truth... lol anyway it
will be my backup machine for my FAEMA Compact.. my Faema is a
workhouse.. VERy minimalist .... inside.. couple pipes, boiler
pressurestat and some solenoids and what not.. but VERY BASIC.. not
much to brake and no electronic doser boards.... I figured for 500
bucks this would be a great backup machine... I was checking out a
sitehttp://www.unicparts.com/and figured at worst.. once I had to or
IF I had to replace a couple pricey parts.. it would stay running for
quite some time for a home machine... we will see!

remind me too....

I like that front Chrome piece covering the group.. the machine I won
is all chrome and beautiful but seem to have a black plastic facing on
that stop... Ill look for the Chrome! I Love my Faema as I have said a
million times but I really want rotary pump and CHrome body .. my
faema was a workhouse and will be again once my element arrives and
SUPER SIMPLE but dang is it not ugly! well compared to the nice shiny
Chrome machines.... its probably best to use it as backup as once i
have new element and all the work I did on it... should last another
20 years using it every day! lol here are some pics on my web gallery
of my rebuild of my Faema and some other pics from the past... I want
to do a full comparison of my 2 machines once the new one arrives and
gets a good check over... Ill send link when uploading the pics I have!

Diva had Black metal group cover....
Phoenix had a black case with a chrome group cover. I combined the
parts I liked....
