Any hardware store, I'd guess....
But seriously: Have you considered a Cona rod from SM's? I use one in my
Yama. Although I wrestle with the vac pot in general, the Cona rod works
well. I don't know if it would fit a Hario, but I'm sure somebody at SM's
can tell you.

Hario made Yama filters.http://www.sweetmarias.com/prod.brewers.vacuum.shtml#yamaThey should work, along with the Cona or Cory rod.

I just ordered a Cory (not Cona) rod for my Hario Deco. I'm assuming it's
going to fit, based on what I've read.
Even with the paper filters that came with it, though, it makes an amazing
cup. I'm extremely happy with it, and it's replaced 5 or so out of the 7
press pots I usually make each week. Clean up is a bit more than the French
press, but not too much of a burden.
It should be here in a day or so, and I'll report back on how it works.

Send my your Hario and I'll let you know which rod fits it. ;>)

Where did you "order" a Cory rod from?

One can often find Cory glass filter rods (two flavors) on e-bay.

A few days ago I damaged my Hario filter in my garbage disposal. I've done
that one before. The US distributor of Hario parts was out of business but
found a new distributor in Canada who was willing to mail to the US. At any
rate I have been using an old Cory rod for the past few days. I have noticed
a distinct improvement over the cloth filters. Coffee made with the rod is
much cleaner tasting coffee than that made with the cloth filter. I think
the tendency is not to change the cloth filter as often as one should. I
would just periodically put it through the dish washer and replace it when
holes appeared in the cloth. Probably not a good method.More care toward
keeping the cloth fresh and clean must be used. For my part I just ordered 2
more Cory rods for back up and will use the new Hario filter as back up for
my 3 rods.
