1) From: Brett Mason
Oops - the post actually missed this list...
Susan's store, "Java Mama" in Toronto, does a lot of events to support
coffee farmers and organic growers worldwide... Here's what she did
in this case.
------------------------------------
Subject: Chocosol Products
"I will be giving away samples of organic chocolate bars produced with
bicycle power and containing 5 different Mexican Chiles and organic
sugar. They are to drop into your cup of coffee and enjoy!!
They will be with every purchase of beans until my sample supply runs out."
-------------------------------------
I contacted her and purchased some to try and also to help out.... You
could likely ask on this list and she would likely respond...
Spicey!!!

Yum...that sounds very nice...like a spicy "Abuelita." I have on occassion added a little cocoa powder to an espresso shot, when in the moodm..very nice.

One of my recent biscotti creations (in my recent biscotti/decaf trade) was
a cocoa/spice/hot pepper/black pepper/roasted paprika blend. Jury is still
out on that one... I think it could have used more hot pepper, but I didn't
want it to be overwhelming.

Sorry I'm so late chiming in on this thread (I get so behind sometimes...)
but Lynne's cocoa/spice/hot pepper/black pepper/ roasted paprika biscotti is
nothing short of amazing. And I think you got the hot pepper just right,
Lynne. It tingles the tongue, acts like a flavor enhancer, even leaves a
tiny bit of burn in the aftertaste. More would be ok, maybe, but I like it
the way it is. 'Scuse me LOVE it the way it is.
2 almond and 1 anise was breakfast this morning, w/ Ethiopia Sidamo DP. Can
I get a big Amen?
