Does the cloth filter for the Yama Brewer work on the old Cory Brewers?

It does on my stainless steel Cory electric vac pot. Ironically, I have
a Cory glass rod I used on the Cory pot, but it always had stalling
problems no matter what I did. When I bought the Yama vac pot from SM,
the cloth filter came with it. (No instructions on how to change the
cloth though, so I've not used it much. Looks like you have to do some
sewing or something...oh bother.) I popped the cloth filter in the Cory,
and it worked perfectly, no stalls. Then I threw the Cory glass rod in
the Yama. Worked perfectly. Rarely ever a stall except in rare conditions.
The Yama is my standard morning cup brewer. No drip here. And the rod is
my standard filter. But the cloth filter looks like it should work with
most any brewer, unless the shaft going down is unusually long or so
narrow you can't drop the spring-end down it.

If you look at the cloth filter, you will see it has some string hanging
off of it. You use that "tail" to adjust the new filter (sorta like a
string tie on a SM bag)

Actually there are 2 strings coming down. place the center of the new clean
filter over the metal core. Simultaneously pull down on the 2 strings. If
you pull on only one it will pull out of the filter as the string pulls out
of the waistline from a pair of pajamas. When tight tie two knots and cut
off the excess string
