Topic: Illy Espresso Cups (7 msgs / 107 lines)
1) From: John Haley
I stopped at a local area thrift shop and was hoping to find an espresso cup
or two. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a complete Illy collection set
(six cups and saucers) from the 1999 Zebra series in like new condition.
Price $12.

Yeah, you got a hell of a steal of a deal at $12! Wanna double your money?

It's just amazing what is out there floating un-noticed in thrift stores. I
would love to spend a day thrift sailing in town. With gas so high and
living so far away I think I will car pool that idea.

While I will say congratulations on your find, just know that as a cup collector, I do hate you a little...:0)

I am really starting to get a serious case of Thrift-Store-Envy. :)
All I've ever seen are grungy MrCoffees, and dented Moka Pots.

No kidding! The stuff that lands in thrift stores here is usually one
step above landfill. Maybe the real thriftstore hounds are just
beating me to the punch, all the time! My best score was a Lego
Mindstorms set for like $10, the original one, which probably doesn't
work, but that's a good price for a boatload of legos anyway =)
