Maybe not -- but I betcha a lot of people clicked on your link, just like I
did. Who is this French broad, anyway?
What I do know is that my Panama Carmen 1800+m ('07 crop) this morning is
absolutely great. Roasted to C+, rested three days, brewed 5 cups using 38g
somewhat coarsely ground in the vac pot with glass rod. Mostly I taste the
nuttiness in it, as well as the overall "brightness", but it's not
overpoweringly acidic. I don't get the fruited notes that Tom describes,
but that doesn't mean they're not there. It's one of the best cups I've had
in some time.
Your post did make me want to grab a paddle and get out on some whitewater.
Oh, and you may want to mention that the "Upcoming Events" on that page are
all from last year, if you were proofing it.

You know, I think she went to Wyoming, lay down and inspired the naming of
some mountains.

Thanks Mike, I'll pass that along. My son, Eli, is the new manager of that
operation. He has his hands full training seasonal staff and getting
everything ready for the new season. The job looks like a perfect fit for
him since it allows him to continue as Southeastern rep for Esquif Canoes
(and teaching Wilderness Medecine for NOLS in the off season). Should be
good for the company, too, since he brings with him a world of experience.
They've been trying to get him to take it for several years. Looks like our
baby is finally ready to settle down some.
Going canoeing tomorrow over on the North Fork of the South Branch or
Balcony Falls. My friends can decide. I'm just happy to have friends and to
be able to go!
