Topic: Behmore recommendations from Green Beanery (60 lines)

Just to break my hidden status I would like for the list members to know
this.
Newly retired and looking to supplement my retirement check, I was
convinced by all of my coffee customers to go bigger. It took quite a while
as you would imagine to roast 4 lbs of coffee the other day for one
customer. This customer also wants to buy from me for a concession stand
that he is going to set-up soon. His wife told him to only get the coffee
for it from me.
So, looking for a roaster that would handle more than the two GeneCafe's I
have, I wrote to a company in Canada about their Caffee Rosto Digirosto
PRO1500+HD that will do 3.3 lbs at a time. (I saw a recommendation of it on
their sight from Tom at Sweetmarias and a link to it on SweetMarias so I
thought it would be okay to post this message)
Also they are the place you return them to for service as shown in their
warranty page,
E-mail or call Behmor Inc. to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization
(RMA). Then ship
prepaid to Green Beanery., by the most convenient method with the RMA
clearly noted on the
outside of the box.

After talking to her, a technician and roaster, I decided to get the Behmor
instead. She said that she was going to start a small coffee shop to sell
her fresh roasted coffee. She decided to get three Behmor's instead of the
Digirosto. Cost for three Behmors is about 1/5 of the cost of the digirosto
and needs less ventilation as it's not smokeless like the ad says it is.
Also if one breaks down, she would have two left she can use until another
come in. This site was a tester for the Behmor from the beginning so they
do know the roaster quite well. She even make it catch on fire to see if it
would handle it and it did. Survived and kept on roasting. She also said
that they had no problems or anything against it, where as she did a couple
of complaints about the Digirosto.
So I ended up taking her suggestion and ordered my first Behmor. It is
supposed to arrive here from SweetMarias on the 15th (ordered on the 8th and
UPS pickup the same day). Also getting the double sampler and a couple of
French Press screens.
Anxiously waiting to receive it and learning a new machine. (Have two
GeneCafe's, a Bravi, and two Zach's. Everything goes okay and there will be
a couple more ordered in a few months.
Keep on roasting,
George Miller
