Is it just me, or are the FC and SC with the Sharasi quite a bit higher than
with the "normal" Yemeni coffees. I'm hitting FC at least 5F above Mattari
and SC at even more difference. I've been letting the roast go about 25
seconds into SC, when it's really rolling, and still not getting an
overly dark roast on the HotTop. I've got a couple of roasts (staggered
days) now, and will be trying out the first one on Friday as a SO.

John I don't have a Hot Top I use my 1kg homebuilt. I hit first
about 405*(wasn't paying closet attention to thermocouple) and dumped
at 446* just as it was picking up a little momentum but not rolling. I
did a
light Vienna about 455 and a 446 light FC+ last week and liked the FC+
much better. Color is a little lighter and a bit homely looking (hey
it's what's inside that counts)picked out a few pre and post roast,
but have not roasted the Mattari yet. The Sharasi is great stuff.
