Found this looking around for other things this morning.http://cgi.ebay.com/West-Bend-Poppery-Hot-Air-Corn-Popper-Coffee-Roaster_W0QQitemZ270228220298QQihZ017QQcategoryZ66752QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemSitting at over $40 with nearly that much again in shipping.
Amazing. I may need to put my 2-3 up for sale at that rate. People
should check out thrift stores more often.

If you can find them. I've been to thrift stores in three cities and
the best find was a 1250W pumper. YMMV, of course.

The eBay item has a note explaining the error about the shipping. It's not

I saw one at a thrift store here a couple of months ago. I decided I
didn't need it, so I left without buying it. A few days later, I changed
my mind and decided to see if it was still there -- when I walked in, I
noticed it being carried to the checkout by someone else. Just missed
it, but that's what I get for passing it up the first time!

I couldn't find one in Vancouver, BC so I bought mine on ebay. I don't think
WB ever made it into Canada and based on everything I read this was THE ONE
to get. I bought the exact same one and I paid less than $13 with $18
shipping. I only bought it a month ago.
It's amazing how much we're affected by inflation. 300% in only one month.
All the best.

John,
You did really well. I haven't looked lately, but $18 used to be the
range for Poppery IIpoppers. IIRC, "Original Poppery" used to go much
higher, $40+.

I bought same model for $2.50 in the thrift store, and a Poppery II for
$2.98 last Wed. in another thrift store. They seem to be plentiful in
central California.

That's nothing. I have always started my auctions out at 99 cents with one
selling at over $400 and another near $700. If you start at nothing, you
get more bidders. The auction below will be finished in 6 hours, is at $51
and started at 99 cents. One person's treasure is another's junk. Or is it
the other way around?http://cgi.ebay.com/WEST-BEND-POPPERY-1500W-POPCORN-POPPER-COFFEE-ROASTER_W0QQitemZ110242443488QQihZ001QQcategoryZ66752QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZView

Also, look at the bidding history. There are people out there who've done
nearly 1400 transactions on ebay. Perhaps they're not interested in
roasting coffee, rather chasing bargins.
