Topic: Hungarian coffee houses -- recipes (35 lines)
1) From: Michael Wascher
The Seattle Times travel section has an article about the resurgence of
coffee houses in Hungary. Some interesting recipes are mentioned:
"...'egg flip,' a combo of triple sec, chocolate milk and coffee ..."
"An ice coffee (a $10 splurge) here means coffee, not with ice, but with ice
cream, whipped cream and chocolate syrup."
"'Eden,' espresso, milk, chocolate and coconut, is a work of art in a glass
served on a silver tray ..."
I tend to drink my coffee straight, occasionally a bit of sugar in an
espresso or iced coffee, which is really surprising since I do have a sweet
tooth. So the Hungarian version of iced coffee really sounds interesting!
Maybe a visit is in order ... a coffee tour of Buda?
