Topic: Stovetop nice even light cinnamon roast (34 lines)
1) From: miKe mcKoffee
Just did a very light cinnamon barely through 1st wooden spoon stirred pan
roast. They were pre "ground" very coarse to get an even result, roughly 6
times as coarse a very coarse Press grind. Worked great coming out nice and
even. Then added water to the pan fully submerging right at the end of roast
with no cooling. Still steeping at a slow simmer.
Oh, guess I should mention that was steel cut oats varietal plus a bit of
butter:-)
But hey, it might work! Pan roasting can be tough to get a even light roast.
(But please DO NOT attempt to grind coffee greens in burr grinder, they WILL
gum up your grinder. It's been tried.)
