Topic: OT: A tribute to coffee sites now deceased (or soon (7 msgs / 131 lines)

I hate the ethoscar site, couldn't hardly read it.
But it leads me to another OT thought.
One of two bright coffee spots for my week in Tucson (Oro Valley, actually)
was Elixir at the Fry's on 1st Ave and Oracle. It's built into the back of
an awesome Studebaker pickup. Seriously. And Seriously good coffee. She made
me an awesome machiato. She uses Intelligentsia coffee. The pickup is not
mobile, it is permanently there plumbed into the water and electrical
supply.

Wow - I loved it. But, then again, I have two sons in their mid 20's who are
urban-types & love that
sort of music - guess it's rubbed off on their creakity ol' mom!
Thanks, Tom, for sending the link.
Now that's a creative business! (I do wonder how their coffee actually *
tastes*, of course...)

I thought huh? but took a second look with a browser that has flash. That's
readable... but I still like the Studebaker pickup I saw better.
The ethos machine looks like a super-auto?
So I think the 3-group naked PF in the Stude will make better shots, too.
I'll see if my pictures turned out and post a few.

Nothing makes me leave a site faster than having music and noise
inflicted on me. I have no idea what was at that site.

the reason i posted that site was because I saw them selling a
roaster on craigslist ... so i figured things were't going so well,
but who knows, maybe they are buying a bigger roaster to make more
"code orange espresso", whatever that is....

I live in Rita Ranch which is south east Tucson. this coffee place
sounds nice. wish it was closer, it maybe 40 miles west and south of
me. if I was in better health i would go and check it out.
