I may be able to do some home/farm coffee roasting demonstrations at
the NOFA-Northeast Organic Farming Assoc. summer conference 8/8-10 at
UMASS, Amherst. If I get it arranged it would be nice to have some
other Home Roasters attend. And of course we will be roasting greens
from SM. Let me know if anyone would be interested.

Oh, Ed, I would love this - but I don't (currently-no change in site) have a
car. I'm north of
Boston, so it would take a long time to get there... by foot (ha).

I won't be able to attend, but have fun! I did a homeroasting demo last
September for Parent's Weekend at my local University. I'm supposed to be
back for it this year.
We'll see...

I'm leading a homeroasting class at the local library tomorrow. It should
be fun.

Ed Did you make any pass-out materials for them to take home? I'm
thinking about making a page or two with general info and resource
info. Please let us know how it goes.
Have fun,

Took my Fresh Roast 8 to the parochial school where I help sometimes.
Walked around to all the classes showing them that coffee was an
agricultural product and how to roast. They thought it was awesome.
Probably because it got them out of about 20 minutes of class. Kids are
amazing. I have already had parents asking me about it...
