Just think, when you set up for drumb roasting, incorporate a door near the
burner. In case of a flame out, you can always save the roast with a weed
burner connected to your propane tank. -ro

Well, it wasn't the very inexpensive one that I've seen mentioned here
and it is more red than orange, but it was made in the PRC. It's
several years old, and I remember I paid a fair amount for it at either
Home Depot or Lowes. Funny, I almost ordered a new gun yesterday
morning, but decided that I didn't need the expense. Ended up ordering
a Milwaukee this time, so hopefully I'll be in business for a while.

I ordered the Milwaukee 8988, the variable temperature with digital
readout.

Have the Milwaukee 8986. Like it a lot. Would love to hear about your
experience with the 8988. Especially, how much true variation exists with
the digital readout? How much sensitivity is there?
Inquiring minds want to know!
