Raising the floor 7" the corner area where the USRC 3k resides. Started last
night after closing. Tiles set and curing now, will grout later this
evening. Can't move the roaster and other stuff back 'til tomorrow evening.
(Really should probably wait another day but can't.) Need to get the Kafe
back in order for Tuesday morning! Had thought to be open tomorrow but it's
a construction disaster area currently. May attempt front house beverages
only but keep the kitchen closed.
Hoping to be able to take my 4th day off next Sunday since starting this
insane ride last Nov 1st. Did sort of take last Sunday off only working 5
hours but threads are stretching thin... (I'm Frayed, Flayed and French
Fried:-)
No regrets.
Looking forward to hosting some Esmeralda Gesha tasting events in the near
future with roast while you watch and wait capability! But first/next need
to punch a hole in the ceiling/roof and get around $2G worth of class A flue
run inc. labor:-(
BTW, if you haven't please RSVP if attending PNWG VI including if staying
for dinner for meal planning purposes. (or even if you have do so again.)
Thanks

Mike,
You know I can relate. Getting ready to hang sheet rock in our little shop.
I'm in a daze but can't stop for anything. Got by the major inspections.
It's been so long since I roasted my own. The thought of another morning of
presspot corner store coffee.........Ok I can't do it, I'm off to the
kitchen to roast up a batch.
Mike are you raising the roaster area to make it more friendly to use? Or to
set it off?

Primarily set the roaster off and also visually and psychologically
delineate the roasting area as separate floor space from the Kafe.
So when's your completion ETA? I've still gotta find time one of these days
to swing east and check out your digs!

Mike,
Great plan. You got an eye catcher. Show it off.
Boy Mike I wish I could give a hard date to open. When I start sanding the
floor I know the baby is close to due. Every time I walk by the Probat and
smell the roasted beans of days past I yearn to see the first flame on that
drum. I would like to think 30 days. Finish work can drag on though. I have
a little help for the time being. Finding help that knows tools and you can
leave them alone is a bit hard at times. Mike D. stopped by for a visit a
few weeks ago to check on my progress. My next day off will most likely be
the PNWGVI
Looking forward to seeing the gang.
Cheers for now,
JoeR
