Topic: Sweet Marias Plastic Coffee Bags (5 msgs / 73 lines)
1) From: Seth Grandeau
I finally got around to doing a stash inventory and in the process, decided
the record the weights of the plastic Sweet Marias bags that the coffee
comes in.
1/2 lb bag = 4 grams
1 lb bag = 5 grams
2 lb bag = 9 grams
If anyone has an empty 5 lb bag they could weigh, I would appreciate it.
BTW, the wife happened to look over my shoulder at the total stash size and
she gave out a "Wow!" and a "You don't need any more coffee!" And she
didn't even realize the number was in Kg, not pounds. :^)

Seth,
what's the point of knowing the weight of the bags? Just to tell you
exactly how much coffee you have, not counting plastic, or is there another
reason that I'm missing?

That's it. If my bag+coffee weighs 450 grams, how much should I measure out
to split it 50/50 for two roasts.
In doing my inventory, I noticed I had many little bags with 100gr or 50gr
in them. It may be time for a "Roaster's Mix".
