I've never been too much of a coffee additive person...just splenda and ice. No milk...syrup etc.
last night my wife and I went to a great chocolate bar in nyc...max. I had their cocoa shot. Basically a two ounce milk with dark choc melted in at the tableside...over a flame. Incredible!! very much a coffee complexity in the flavor. Can't get it out of my head.
Today heated a two ounce milk with the steamer wand and added pure cocoa powder and some splenda. Very nice.
I was thinking about making some turkish coffee....normally 6 oz water with 28 grams coffee in an ibrik. But adding two tablespoons cocoa. I'm gonna try it...and looking forward to it! I've tried cardamon...but too tea like. If the cocoa doesn't work alone...i wonder what it would be like to brew the coffee in the ibrik with cocoa and milk, rather than water.
