Topic: Has anyone roasted the Kona Blue Mountain coffee? (3 msgs / 50 lines)
1) From: Seth Grandeau
This is the Kona-grown, Jamaica Blue Mountain seedstock coffee, which was
offered a few months ago. I have a pound in my stash, but have not tried
roasting it yet. I'm curious to hear what people think of it. Is it more
JBM-like or more Kona-like? How did you roast it?

Back in '03 did a comparison of Kowali Kona XF Typica, Kowali JBM seedstock,
JBM, and the JBM Kona Typica 50:50 blended. Found the post before but for
the life of me can't find the results post:-( So from memory bottom line
was Kowali JBM was not really like either and also different from the Kona
Typica/JBM blend. A smooth rich "Island" cup unique in it's own right.
Suggest roasting it City+ to Light FC and not a speed roast.

Thanks, miKe. I wish I was up in the PNW, I'd love to have a cup and talk
coffee with you.
