If you develop roasting profiles by temperature gain per minute, please look
at the attached excel spread sheet I developed.
The program lets you define up to 8 temperature ranges, and the temperature
gain per minute for each range. The program then calculates the temperature
for each roasting minute, up to a 25 minute total roast time. There is
enough room for 7 profiles. There is room for recording the objectives for
the roast on the bottom. The second sheet creates a chart for each roast.
There is enough room for 7 profiles.
To use, fill in only the yellow cells. Name the bean, the roast, the
temperature ranges and temp/min. You can use any unused columns for
recording your actual roasting temperatures. Keep a separate sheet for each
bean you roast, as you experiment towards better roasts.
My analytical side got the better of me in making this. I hope you find
this useful.

Bill, sounds great! Let that analytical side roll! It helps people like me
out.
However, the homeroast list won't do attachments. So you'd need people to
email you offlist and request it. Which I'll do in just a minute.
thanks
