Topic: the new coffees and scotch (5 msgs / 79 lines)

For you scotch drinkers out there:
Tom's notes on the new "Misty Valley" says: "The dry fragrance are heavily
fruited, with dense body, and an aftertaste that has some citrus hints, or
more accurately a chocolate-dipped orange confection. Intense cocoa notes,
and at FC a single-malt Scotch finish add interest to the cup. "
I'm a bourbon drinker meself. oh, and the yirg looks like the coffee I
can't live without...probably like 10 pounds of it... haven't looked at the
new arrivals yet.
Thanks a lot, Les... you're right, this is gonna be expensive. Maybe I can
talk myself into 5 pounds of the Yirg.

Mmmmm.... Got >my< attention!
But which malt? There's a huge variety of whisky out there - from
Dalwhinnie to Laphroaig.

Hmmmm, The MacCallan 18 or 24 year old? I think I may have to order
some if that is the case.
Oh...what is this? Single malt scotch and Sam Adams coffee stout???
Wow...I KNEW I liked home roasting for a reason. :-)

You certainly don't want to get me started on singlemalts... :)
Lordy, I'd make the most opinionated of the posters here look
downright open minded and the most verbose sound downright
closemouthed heh.

Gary, now my curiosity is downright peaked. I'd love to hear some more
opinions about scotch... of course we'd have to take it OT...bill in wyo
