Yea, I have a few Rube Goldbergs around here too. Most of our society is a
goldberg. That's what a bureaucracy is-- A big expensive overly complex
institution that  gets very little done and exists for the sole purpose of
perpetuating itself. Ockham's razor needs to be sharpened and used
regularly.

What you say is dead on and works well.  But it flies in the face of the
desire to create some rube goldburg method that ultimately costs more,
takes more time to use, and does not actually store beans any better
than a zip lock bag.
