I have been using a SCAA scoop of beans (which I previously weighed to be 7gm) to measure.
7gm per 4 oz water for the french press.
17 gm (2 and a half) scoops for a double portafilter.
And for whatever reason....21 gm per 8 oz water in the pour over with gold filter...which seems to be weaker
than the press, I guess because of the quicker extraction time.

Hummm... I weighed three different roasts from my SM blue SCAA scoop
this evening and got identical eleven grams each time. Roasts were
Hawaiian Kona Kawali City+, a Columbian, FC and a Yemen City +. I've
been figuring two and a half scoops 27 grams or about an ounce to make
two mugs via the CM2 (30 oz) Chemex.
