Topic: Recommendations coffee for moka pot (4 msgs / 63 lines)
1) From: Brian Zambrano
I'd like to roast some coffee for a friend's wife who usually makes coffee
in a moka pot. Since I rarely use these, can anyone recommend a good
bean/roast?
Thanks!

I've brought in IMV for the moka pot at work and the crowd has been really
wowed by the blueberry taste. I think any of SMs Ethiopians or Kenyans
would have a similar "wow" factor.

My favorite is SM's Monkey blend roasted just into 2nd Crack. But then...
we drink Monkey Blend for everything (Mokka, Espresso, Drip, AP, etc.) :-)

Similarly, I use the moka pot for all coffee. I think you will get
interesting coffee no matter what high-quality, expertly-roasted,
properly-ground beans you run through it. After that, as is true of
most things coffee, preferences will vary from person to person.
