Topic: Green coffee 1982! (23 lines)

Tom referred to 1982 Brazilian coffee of the stocks bought up by the
government. Last month I was lucky to try it out, i.e. a sample of the 1983
stock. The quality wasn´t as bad as I expected. Body gone (if there ever =
was
one), not too strong burlap taste, not green anymore but yellow now. As a
basis for (an overroasted) blend still quite acceptable and, with the price
being low, roasters will probably use it for the eastern european or
national (brazilian) market. I think that if they wait for another 25 years
prices might spike being it a special-curiosity-coffee. For the “real tas=
te”
fans, better stay away from it. Pieter
