A Cuba Libre is not to be missed, along with Cafe Cubano. Unique shot pulled
with raw sugar in the bottom of the filter basket. Got more plans for the
Blow Up expresso matcheen.
Part of training for deployment to "Theater operations" in 1966 was Jungle
Survival school at Clark. There was a gas tent, in addition to Escape and
Evasion. We were on the lush green side of Mt. Pinatubo !
Kept my eyes closed in the gas- nothing to see in the dark.
"This is an ancient volcano, guys. It's extinct, hasn't erupted in 600
years." Dormant??!!??
Who knew Pinatubo had 25 Years to go at the time, with Mt. Arayat 20 mi to
the east, and the Taal and Mayon volcanos in the neighborhood toward Manila?
That explains the earthquake that felt like a train wreck.
Cheers, Mabuhay -RayO, aka Opa!
San Miguel at the Coconut Grove- Mmm, Masarap! Ayos na ang Kasunod!!

Nein, Nyet, Negative, [expletive deleted]No!
Eat snakes in Bug School? Our [Mainly 1st Mob and pilots] primary orders
were to survive and await rescue, not study the serpentine reptiles. I saw
One (1) gorgeous, iridescent blue snake while I was driving to Hill 100 at
Sattahip, Thailand. He saw me coming and left
The dozens of King Cobras and Pythons at the snake farm in Bangkok and
Balara water works park in Manila don't count. Fascinating time, but it's 40
years in the past, drat.
More current is the Liquid Amber double I just brewed from the next-to-last
sample of roast I've kept in sandwich Ziploks in the freezer for the past
two weeks, roasted 20 June 08. It works- this shot is stunning.
