Barry, I missed where this word must have been incorrectly used in 
this list somewhere.  I am still catching up on my reading of the 
posts which have gone up during my vacation.  But, I love new words 
and have used this twice - correctly - when discussing, in writing, 
some work we had done in Costa Rica.  We had material made and then 
sewn into lounge chair pillows and also dining seat pillows.  Who 
knew when I woke up today that I would learn a new word and find a 
way to use it twice in one email.  Thank you.

There's some rocks off the coast of Cape Ann in Massachusetts called the Dry
Selvages.  I'd read that the name was a corruption of Salvages, but now I
wonder . . .
