Topic: An Alabama group and possible meet-up (7 msgs / 131 lines)
1) From: Jim Gundlach
I would like to try to organize an Alabama home roasters group to see
if we could put together a meet-up to share some hands-on and
drinkable experiences. There are at least four of us who have
participated on the list recently and I suspect that there are some
less active or lurking members out there. I have in mind a coffee
experience with no religion, politics or Auburn versus Alabama, there
are three documented deaths from fights started by someone yelling
"Punt Bama Punt!", and we would not want coffee to be involved in
adding to that.
Anyway, if interested, email me and we can see if we can put something
together.

I say Roll, Tigers!
Looks like you're pretty centrally located, Jim - near Tallassee/Tuskegee.

I'm guessing "Go Vols" would be casue for an instant stoning?
So be it. Being in Dalton GA, I wouldn't qualify for Alabama status
anyway...

Robert,
First "Go Vols" in Alabama, then Georgia? Sounds like you have
problems making friends and influencing people wherever you go....
Just kidding, of course. I think it's great that homeroasters all over
the country are able to get together and talk coffee with other very
interested people for a few hours.

You have me pegged pretty well Brian!
Actually, I graduated from UGA. Go figure.
All the tuition checks cleared the bank, so I owe them nothing...
