I used to build & test them.
You don't get something for nothing.
If your load is dropping the input voltage, a FR transformer will drop it
even more, increasing current draw, dropping input voltage, increasing
current draw & so on.
If the circuit finds equilibrium, great - until someone adds another load.
A carefully designed system, which includes a FR transformer should be very
stable - it's not just something to add to just any circuit to get stable
