Wouldn't it be fun to find out what the coffee in list members
kitchens actually tastes like? (And of course in the coffee shops of
list members as well.) I was thinking a convoy of motor homes filled
with list members, cruising around the nation - and, why not, visits
to our South American members as well - roasting and brewing as we go,
and swooping in on list members for a few days at a time. Five or six
months ought to give us a good start....
(Doesn't hurt to dream, I guess....)

Time to break out the lotto tickets.
Maybe the best that can be done is a network of locations for those
traveling to stop by and get a cup and a few moments rest on their journey.
Not a bad way to stretch the legs on the road.

I drove through Louisville just this past Saturday, Ed, and would have
loved to have had the chance to chat while savoring a cup or two, but
unfortunately was in the middle of a 14.5 hour drive. Hopefully
sometime in the future....

Lots of nice places on the market around here. Used to have a neighbor who
commuted from 30 miles west of here to Vint Hill Farms.

Not much of a change in color here in eastern NC...however home is where the

I want a space in the convoy! Anytime anyone finds themselves in the
Corvallis, OR area, stop on by for a cuppa! I can pull a darn good shot on
La P, but (fair warning) my latte art is WEAK SAUCE! Fortunately for the
traveller, I'm half way in any journey North or South on 1-5 between miKe
and his Kaffe, and Les and the Alchemist, so if you find my coffee lacking,
you can always follow up with the real goods.

Anyone coming to Sonoma County is welcome to stop at our house. We live in

setup. My icon is the sunshine.

Ohhhh, how I miss that! My sis lives just outside McLean, and we love
doing Skyline Drive (and I have many happy memories of staying at the
Lodge in Shenandoah Nat'l Park--jamming around the campfire with the
park ranger, and taking my first dulcimer lesson from Maddie McNeil,
who was and I think still may be their artist in residence). Lady
bugs I can do without (I once stayed at a retreat center on Lake
Geneva, WI that was literally overrun with them), but autumn leaves in
the Blue Ridge, especially when they've all fallen away up north?
Oooooh.

Wow - what a fantastic cross-country trip this would be! Imagine, tip toeing
across the country, stopping in to share great coffee and great conversation
with our fellow list members...
Bonnie, your home sounds like heaven! If only I was well enough - and had
the means to travel that far...
ah... I can dream...

(who would only travel with her three dogs by her side - and probably a
truck-load of homemade biscotti!)

Hey Gang,
my place is right off of I70, about 2 hours West of Kansas City,
espresso machine, multiple Chemex, vacpot and antiques to play with.
And I keep 2 #'s of homeroast 'on tap' at all times ;-)
I just picked up a commercial soft serve ice cream machine this morning...as
soon as I figure out how it works, I'll start perfecting 'real' coffee
ice cream....
