I was trying to use up some of the WP Korote I had roasted on Tuesday for a
drive out to Memphis.  As is my normal method, I made myself a thermos full
and then walked out and left the beans on the counter.  So I got back in
last night and was thinking I wanted to do something a bit different for the
rest of it this morning.  I got out the Aeropress and made some VERY strong
coffee with it without thinning it down with water afterwards.  I threw it
in the freezer for about 45 minutes, and then poured it in our blender and
added just enough Blue Bell Vanilla Bean to get it to stiffen up nicely.
Eureka!
I lost my first one to my wife, and had to share the second one with my 4
year old who will not leave anything with coffee alone.  I now have just
enough beans left over to make a pot for tonight at work.  So tomorrow will
be a Kenyan day.  Got two different ones resting from last night so they
should be pretty good for tomorrow.
I know such usage of a great coffee is considered blasthemy to many.  But it
was awefully good.
Oh, and you guys can keep your Geshas.  I have not the pallet, roasting
skill, or brewing equipment to experience them as they should be.  They
would just be a wasted effort.  But I do enjoy reading everyones enthusiasm
and pleasurable moments with them.  Maybe next year.  Besides, I have a
total love affair with several other coffees I am drinking right now.

sometimes in the afternoon i'll pull a shot or two of espresso and throw it in the blender with some vanilla bean ice cream and a little whole milk. man thats a nice pick me up.

I like to pour myself about 10 oz. of chocolate Silk soymilk (regular,  
not Lite) over ice and then pour a double shot of espresso into it. Yum.

I used to call this my chocoberrryespressobuzzbomb.  I was basically trying
to reverse engineer a Frappucino.  Threw into a blender a couple shots of
espresso, good vanilla ice cream, frozen strawberries (a departure from *$),
chocolate chips, a little more milk.   Wow, that was a good drink.
