Does anyone know offhand when the HotTop started including a built-in
voltage regulator? According to their site, you don't need a variac any
more as they have one built-in. I'm looking at picking up a used HT (a D
upgraded to a B) and was curious if I might still need to dig up a
variac to go with it.
Thanks,

Ben,
In converting from a D to a B model, all of the electronics are replaced so
it is exactly like a new B model. Therefore it will have the voltage
regulation circuitry.

Thanks Mike! That's great to know. I wasn't sure if the voltage
regulation was built-in some other way on the B. That clears it up for me.
