Topic: Wilmington Delaware -- help -- coffee needed (5 msgs / 86 lines)
1) From: Steve Carlson
I'm in Wilmington, Delaware for more than 3 weeks working a courtroom
trial. There's a bunch of us here and we need some good coffee. I'm
thinking I should have brought my roaster, but that wasn't really in the
cards. Do one of you live around here, and could spare a good roast?
We can make a barter trade of great value if you're interested.

What do you mean a good roast?
Send you roasted beans or what?

Steve,
I just saw your message. I certainly do not mean to disrespect our host, but
I show you're about 20 miles away from Delaware City Coffee Co. Maybe an
hour in Denver's drive time parking lot traffic, post convention looky
loo's.
DCCC is a roaster and he sells green. Look him up, should be in phone book
or easy to find on line. Got my first green from his eBay site before I was
aware of Sweet Maria's. Wasn't bad, but I never looked back after SM.

I live nearby (Delaware County, PA) and this weekend plan to roast my
first batch since my move, but I can't promise sterling results. I'm still a
newbie roaster, and I'm going to use HG/DB roasting for the first time this
weekend.
Joe's coffee in downtown Philly has pretty fresh roasts, although my palate
is probably not as picky as many other people on this list. It's at the
corner of 11th and Walnut, on the first/ground floor of a Jefferson Hospital
building. I used to go there to buy my coffee until I moved out of the
city, and it became a little too much of a weekly hassle.http://www.joecoffeebar.com/ ---Amy

.In downtown Wilmington, the best coffee is in the Green Room of the Hotel
DuPont. Avoid the cafeteria in the basement (decent food, average coffee).
I worked there for over 20 years. I live in Kennett Square, about 10 miles
north of Wilmington, up Rte 52. I'm a newbe roaster and turn out small
batches in my modified air popper.
