Topic: replacement burrs (rocky) (10 msgs / 240 lines)
1) From: Benjamin VerHage
I'm looking to replace the burrs on my Rocky. Can anyone suggest a good pla=
ce from which to order? I've found a couple online, but I'm not sure if the=
re are better deals to be had or better vendors to do business with.
Thanks,
Ben

Ben,
Wherever you get your burrs, order some extra screws at the same
time. It takes extreme care to get them out without stripping them,
so it's best to have a few on-hand if you do (they are odd screws that
aren't easily found locally). 1st-line had the screws, but I needed
to email them to get the part number.

Thanks for the tip. I've found it cheaper on other sites, but I'll probably=
order from a place that offers the screws too. If one breaks, not only can=
you not put the new burrs in, but you can't put the old ones in either.

Ben,
You might consider getting several sets of screws, so that in the
future when you are shopping for burrs you won't need to consider
additional screws.

Ben,
I just got a new set of burrs and replacement screws from EspressoParts.com.
I also ordered a new switch to replace the one on the front of the Rocky. I'd prefer to simple press the switch andnot
have to hold it in while grinding..

I just ordered and did just that. I thought I could find them on McMaster, =
but they didn't have any M4x7. They had 6 and 8 of course, but no 7s.
I'm exicted to see how it grinds with new burrs.

Ben,
Be sure to let us know what, if any, difference the new burrs make in the cup.

It works best to buy fasteners from a fastener store. Industrial supply
does not carry a full range of fasteners. Try this place and how many
boxes do you want?http://www.boltdepot.com/Benjamin VerHage wrote:
