Topic: Great brew! On topic - coffee (25 msgs / 597 lines)

This post has been sanitized to protect everyone.
This morning I brewed a pot of of excellent coffee purchased from an =
indeterminate, yet quality vendor. Delicious! Roasted in conjunction =
with the directions supplied with the roasting machine and a bit of =
experimentation and brought to a degree of roast as recommended by one =
much more knowledgeable than I. The roasted coffee rested for an =
adequate time to allow for flavor development and was brewed in a method =
allowing for maximum flavor and sensory pleasure.
I'm enjoying this exquisite elixir while reading both partisan and non =
partisan reviews of yesterdays political news.
Mmmm. Yum!
If anyone would like the specifics, contact me off list, but be warned: =
I will name names.

If:
"This post has been sanitized to protect everyone."
The expurgation has been random, designed to accentuate the process rather
than the effect.
Why alter the traditional "Ethiopian mammals discover unusual berry, alter
gate in response, Goatherd observes." The responsible animals probably were
Khaldi's goats. There is no record that they benefited from any roasting,
aging or brewing at all, yet the public intoxication. Were the cherries
fermented?
This process of roasting and sequencing of the brewing and actual beverage
consumption is the result of a massive cavalcade of errors. The presumption
of this knowledge on the reader's part tends to complicate, rather than
simplify or sanitize the post.

Please show me where it has been random, as it seems to me to be quite
thorough. Not a name in there.
<Snip>
True, true. Exactly true. You got the whole point of my post.
<Snip>
Mammals? Where did I post about mammals?
<Snip>
Maybe they were fermented, but I'm missing Khaldi's goat connection to
my post...
<Snip>
Perhaps, the process of contemporary roasting and brewing is a result of
errors, but I think I'll keep on this track of error since the
availability of ripe (or fermented) coffee cherries is, to my knowledge,
zero in Michigan.

Why do you, the reader, presume anything?
The missing names, and actual facts were the sanitized part... Sorry I
didn't make that very clear. If you'd like the unsanitized version, I'll
send it to you.

Hi, Ray.
My original post was in direct response to all the kvetching about a
McDonald's commercial in an OT thread. It seems it turned political. I
have the OT threads filtered to junque mail, but happened to notice this
one. I actually found it amusing.
Then, someone apparently complained because I named my espresso machine,
which I believe is in roughly the same league as yours. In any event, it
caused a response from Tom, who supported my post.
I don't get it; it seems the more we can't talk about coffee and it's
gear, the more we can't talk about anything...
It's starting to make me grumpy. I'd rather be Doc.
Have a great evening.

Yeah, making a living can suck.
Today we finished off the last of a batch of Villalobos mixed 4 to 1
with the Yemen Mohka Sharasi (200g + 50g) roasted 10 seconds into 2nd
crack.That was one fine cuppa - chocolate base notes of the Villa
tempered with the sharper, earthy notes of the yemen. It needed two
days rest but held up great even through day 7 after roast.
My wife and I were really pleased with that blend. She even asked me
to repeat it - a first :-)

Hey, John - I finally took the time and looked at your website. I love your

Is there any chance we might be able to see one of the films you work on?
My daughter is a film editor - she's been working similar hours (she's not
doing anything creative, so it's all the more stressful). Hope you get that
16 hour 'nap' - and a great cuppa to top it all off!

The point of stream-of-consciousness poetry, there is a contradiction
in terms if there ever was one, is that it is to be experienced, not
understood. It is absolutely fine to let it warp your senses and not
say a thing to anyone else about it.

"Assume"-- a well-known conjunction.
You have made a certain basic erroneous assumption: If your machine is in
the same league as mine, it operates in a half-sheet cookie pan or with a
terry cloth hand towel on hand. Capresso Luxe (Leaks).
I didn't name my matcheen, but the brand invites renaming. Really acquits
