Topic: cleaning rocky? (4 msgs / 97 lines)
1) From: Benjamin VerHage
Seeing the posts about flushing grounds out of the Rocky (I have one and us=
e the click-clack lid) reminded me of a similar question. I've taken my R=
ocky apart a few times to clean it, but I'm looking for an easier method =
for in-between disassemblies. I'd like to keep it clean(er) instead of lett=
ing it all build up and then having to do a major cleaning more frequently.=
I've seen the "Grindz" product and heard of people using minute rice, etc.=
Seems like a good idea, but my concern is getting all that stuff out of th=
e Rocky before I use it again. Is the idea that you still have to take the =
grinder apart after cleaning, or that you do a flush with some junk beans a=
nd then use normally? Anyone have experience with this?

I use minute rice between origins...and an Eggstractor every grind.

I use minute rice to clean the rocky... I have the doser-less model
and I hold a vacuum hose up to the spout while grinding the minute
rice. Does a good job of getting most of the rice out.

Interesting. I need to take him apart for a cleaning anyway, so maybe I'll =
try running some minute rice through beforehand and see how much, if any, i=
s left after flushing it out.
Thanks!
