Topic: Aeropress Funnel (3 msgs / 51 lines)
1) From: Tolar, William R
After all the good reports about the Aeropress I bought one for camping,
traveling it makes a great cup (might have to give espresso a try again
never really cared for it before but with good beans hmm :-) ) OK the
reason for this post. The funnel that comes with the Aeropress works
great for dumping beans right from the Behmor basket into valve bags or
jars (a idea my wife gave me while I was picking fresh roasted beans off
the floor and counter) ;-) BTW took the Aeropress to work to play with
now just ordered 2nd one for work (they were holding mine for ransom) 12
hour rotating shifts require A LOT OF COFFEE so the more toys the
better. Well better get back to work we have a saying we use when we
start and put one of our generators back on line that can be used for
roasting. TURN UP THE JUICE AND LET THE DARN THING LOOSE !!!! Happy
Roasting E1 Regards Ray T.

I use the funnel quite a bit. Load grounds into the AP. Attach AP to my
travel mug, whose opening is narrower than the bottom of the AP (the AP fits
into the top of the funnel perfectly and you press the coffee through the
funnel into the cup). I use it to put roasted beans into ziplock bags when
bringing gifts. I'll have to try it with the behmor drum! I just wish it
were a smidge narrower at the bottom, so I could press coffee directly into
my thermos...

Something else that works well to fill jars ( I use canning jars and lids to
store my beans) is a canning funnel. I also use the canning funnel to fill
up the FreshRoast. The Aeropress funnel would work just as well.
