Topic: OT...took brush to 3rd crack (8 msgs / 156 lines)
1) From: Jim Anderson
I am in the habit of storing the brush that came with the Behmor inside the
chaff collector when I put it away. Today I did a cleaning cycle before
starting to roast and forgot it was in there. Smelled like hot wax.http://boatworker.smugmug.com/gallery/4304008_8EkbS/2/392490023_Kzffa#392490023_Kzffa-L-LBJim

I wonder what happened to my brush. I don't think I've seen it since I
unpacked the roaster a year ago...
I clean between roastings with a brush attachment on my vacuum cleaner.--

Some days...
It's just not worth chewing through the leather straps

I'm disappointed, no evidence of actual flames, but nice mélange effect!:=

A cleaning brush? Really??
That must be the later ones; mine didn't come with a brush. Doesn't matter
much because I keep a vacuum cleaner next to the Behmor for cleaning the
chaff.

6) From: Bob Hazen
I would also expect somewhat of a woody aftertaste...

7) From: Sandy Andina
Mine smelled like a cross between burning leaves, aromatic pipe =
tobacco, and a nice fireplace fire. No flames, but some dramatic =
embers flying inside the chamber. (A new one ran me nine bucks at =
Williams-Sonoma).

*$ says cleaning brushes work better like this. Brings out the natural
bristle characteristics.
