I'll recover ... actually, my main problem today is that I took the
#1 Rwanda Cup fo Excellence coffee home to brew, and the result was a
terrible cup with string "potato defect". Very sad. But I will
recover...
I know about this famous Tom Owen - got a real kick years back to
know I share a name with such a lofty cultural figure, and
motivational genius:http://www.tomowen.us/For a lot of people, they might be proud that they DON'T need to get
run over by a truck to learn a lesson in life. For others ...they do
so happily it seems.

How would a coffee with potato defect make it through to #1 COE?

I just googled the 'potato defect'. That's the first time I've ever heard
of it. Interesting.

I think it's the Cameron bug or Antestia that damages the skin and I
believe can lay eggs too. A problem for coffee in areas of Africa.

Hi Becky,
Not that I'm aware of.... (grin)
I say it that way because only recently, we discovered that Grandpa had two
other families in California before marrying Grandma in Vancouver and moving
down to Washington to start a third. Dad and his siblings had no idea of
the other siblings. Thanks to the internet, we've gotten to know each
other; and Grandpa is probably spinning in his grave.
So, I don't >think< I'm related to this person, but not much would surprise
me at this point. Where was the bank? And what was the owner's name?
Bob
