Topic: Gesha craving (5 msgs / 130 lines)
1) From: Steve Carlson
I just bought a Rocky grinder (nice machine, BTW). I had been saving my
Gesha (Lot 10) beans for this moment. I first did a drip pot, and was
surprised by the taste, which I initially didn't care for that much. The
Rocky grinder definitely brought out a far cleaner taste than my old whirly
blade did. But I was having trouble getting my brain around the floral
notes, which were dominating the milk chocolate I could taste in the
background. In the afternoon I decided to pull a shot, thinking that the
brightness wouldn't do so well in the espresso. What it did was bring out
the chocolate, especially with that awesome grind from the Rocky. It was
equal parts flowers and chocolate -- nice stuff. That was this afternoon,
and now it is getting close to midnight, and that flavor is still riding
with me strong. I am craving another shot. It'll have to wait to tomorrow.

Mawaaaaaaaa...beware the Power of the Dark Side! And paired with the dance
of the Gesha can be quite devastating:-)
FWIW next time you want a "Gesha cup of coffee", make it an Americano.
