Topic: Rocky's got new burrs! (2 msgs / 36 lines)

hey all...
I learned from you guys the need to keep Rocky on his toes. He just turned one yr old so after about 55-70 lbs I decided to get new burrs. I went with chris' coffee because of their reputation and what had gone around about burrs bought from WLL and espressoparts.
I called before hand and was assured that the burrs were direct from rancilio. I got them, as others described, loose in a ziplock bag with a piece of cardboard between them...a little dissappointed to see them with some rust appearing discoloration. They were sharper than the old...and close inspection revealed a small rancilio double r imprinted on the backside of the burrs (as did the originals). I cleaned the new ones with alcohol...thought about using steel wool but was afraid it might be more inclined to rust in the future.
Changing them was a snap. Ill use them for a dolce shot when I get up to go to work tonight.
ill report back. Have a good sunday.

Dean,
You should see a world of difference. I sure did on my home San Marco.
