It's pre-war from the 1930s. that's why the starting bid is 150. I'm playing
poker tonight. So it may become mine.Unless some one else on the list is
interested

I have a PeDe Peter Dienes wall mount. They work well. I've used mine
for grinding cupping roasts. They rarely give the condition of the
burr on ebay listings so it's kinda a crap shoot. The Zass looks
generally in better than average cond. May or may not work for
espresso, wouldn't count on it.http://www.sweetmariascoffee.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId302best of luck,

I don't remember that it had the Zassenhaus logo anywhere on it, but
everything about the eBay image reminded me of the wall grinder my folks
had. Their shorter ceramic hopper had a blue windmill on it- almost a pastel
Norman Rockwell. The flat crank had a dog leg in it to clear the somewhat
fatter hopper.
It was my trick to snag a couple of beans out of the top to crunch. The
vacuum pot - brewed coffee was too weak and much too hot for me back in the
day.
I'm presently not lacking any eBay items. PayPal did what their reputation
promised.

Ray-O,
What did PayPal's reputation promise and what did they do? I do know that
you cant find much on eBay that is worth it. Seens to have really gone down
hill the past few years.

I always get a kick out of eBay comments. eBay is nothing more than an
online flea market "location". They sell nothing but rather bring sellers
and buyers together in a relatively safe online environment.

This is only my own experience, Steve but I had great experience with eBay
at the start. I am more familiar with traditional auctions and realized I
wasn't dealing with auction reality on eBay. Especially the hacker games in
the last few seconds- that eBay encouraged!
Before I was even aware of Sweet Maria's, I realize I lucked out on some
Ethiopian Sidamo and Panama Boquette from an eBay seller.
Somewhere, I read about the PayPal depredations of the accounts of eBay
participants. PayPal has become part of eBay, another profit center.
My Solis education cost $200, yet had an excellent outcome, "out" being the
operative term. I had thought eBay and PayPal had arbitrarily decided not to
put Ray on the Archimedes Spiral, but they still had to keep proving a
negative- that they wouldn't beat me up with false advertising that I
couldn't detect, or abscond with my funds.
The Not A Real Auction scheme was proven early on, but cost me nothing. I
got the Mazzer Major in spite of eBay hacker games. No cost, but an actual
$$$-tary advantage. It was a veritable Candy Shop for power vacuum tubes.
Vanilla beans, on , P/P debited me $15.50 or so, did not credit
seller. Got listed on seller's no-Pay S-list.
Thus ended my Echo Bay transactions. Can't afford any more learnin'- I Got
It already. (or- Finally!) Osmosis is a slow process of learning, but I hold
a PhD in Dummkopf.

Hello,

I am a Newbie here.  I want to tell you my wife's experience with ebay...=
been a seller and buyer for some years but now with paypal/ creditcard only=
way of paying will have to look elsewhere such as etsy, IOffer, and Ruby L=
ane.  Not everyone wants to start electronic payment and don't blame them=
...enough fraud and crime on internet so why dare trouble??? My wife wanted=
get a ceramic coffee grinder like you have described with blue windmill et=
c...but.....well the last seconds of auction was outbid..not playing fair i=
f you know what I mean...just plain mean and ebay allows it all the time. W=
e are big fans of the hand grinders..have recently tried to repair my late =
Mom's German grinder but cannot find parts. Need to go to some flea markets=
this winter to try to find the burrs.  Anyway,  agree with you that eb=
ay has gone downhill.  Sellers no longer can give negative reports about =
no pays yet buyers can give unwaranted negatives.  Wife had two nopays
last month but could not warn other sellers... not what it is cracked up t=
o be.  Ebay will learn too late I am afraid that they are going to loose =
many good sellers and buyers.  Well, thank you for your time and hope I d=
idn't step on toes of any ebay fans.  Will be looking for a ceramic wall =
hung coffee grinder someplace other then ebay.  =
Have a good coffee day.
